The incredible journey of Fiordland is set against a beautiful soundtrack and has no dialogue or subtitles, making it perfect for anyone to enjoy, no matter what language you speak. Directed by Dave Corner and released in 2005, Ata Whenua Shadowland has become a must-see for visitors to the Fiordland.
Visiting Ata Whenua Shadowland Cinema
Fiordland Cinema in Te Anau is dedicated to showing Ata Whenua Shadowland to the many visitors that head to Fiordland every day. The boutique, 52-seat cinema offers guests the chance to view the incredible film experience in comfort and luxury.
The 32-minute long short film is screened on the hour between 9 am and 7 pm daily at Fiordland Cinema, except for on weekends and public holidays when there are no screenings between 12 pm and 3 pm. During the winter (mid-April to mid-October), Ata Whenua Shadowland is screened daily at 3 pm, 4 pm, 5 pm and 6 pm. Tickets cost just $12 and can be pre-booked online on the Fiordland Cinema website.
